The National Youth Council (NYC) presents the National Report of the 8th Cycle of the European Union Youth Dialogue which focuses on proposals for the achievement of the goals of the European Youth Goals n.9: Space and Participation for all.
The 8th Cycle of the European Union Youth Dialogue, whose theme is "Europe and Youth, Youth and Europe: Room for Democracy and Participation" runs from June 2020 to December 2021 under the Trio Presidency of the Council of the European Union of Germany, Portugal and Slovenia. Based on the European Youth Objective n.9, this cycle focuses on dialogue between decision-makers and young people to define actions and measures that can contribute to the goals set in this objective.
In this sense, between November and December 2020, the CNJ, as coordinator of the National Youth Dialogue Working Group, held face-to-face and online sessions, involving more than 300 young people, with the aim of collecting concrete ideas for the implementation of the European Youth Goals n.9 and which contributed to the European Auscultation Report of the 8th Youth Dialogue Cycle.
The results of the consultation conducted by the CNJ in Portugal, are now presented in this National Report, consisting of a summary of the main challenges identified, as well as the solutions proposed by the young people consulted. This is a document which may inspire and guide the work of youth institutions and organisations with regard to improving participation spaces and conditions for young people.
The report and more information about this process is available on the CNJ website, here.
