Guide "Youth work in focus"

The Lisbon Youth Centre (CJL), from the Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth, I.P., presents the Portuguese version of Youth Work in Focus, the guide on Recommendation CM/Rec(2017)4 - Youth Work of the Council of Europe.

To help its Member States make youth work a reality, in 2017 the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted Recommendation CM/Rec(2017)4 on youth work, which is the first policy document resulting from an international agreement explicitly focused on youth work, its value to society and its future qualitative development in Europe.

This publication is a follow-up to that Recommendation and aims to bring its content closer to its potential users: policy makers, youth workers, managers of youth work activities, youth leaders, trainers of youth workers, youth organisations, among others, and to provide information and guidance step-by-step for the implementation of this recommendation.

It also offers advice and examples of actions to undertake and policies to
to develop so that youth work can be put under the spotlight of youth policies and can make a difference in the lives of young people.
